Inconel 825 wire is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with molybdenum, copper, and titanium. It is well known for its exceptional corrosion resistance, especially in acidic and marine environments. This makes it ideal for chemical processing, marine, and high-temperature applications.

• Material Composition:

  • Nickel (Ni): 38-46% (Primary element for corrosion resistance)

  • Iron (Fe): Balance

  • Chromium (Cr): 19.5-23.5% (Enhances oxidation resistance)

  • Molybdenum (Mo): 2.5-3.5% (Improves pitting and crevice corrosion resistance)

  • Copper (Cu): 1.5-3% (Improves resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids)

  • Titanium (Ti): 0.6-1.2% (Prevents sensitization and improves strength)

• Corrosion Resistance:

  • Excellent in sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acids.

  • High resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.

  • Resists oxidation and pitting in marine and acidic environments.

• Mechanical Properties:

  • Tensile Strength: ≥ 585 MPa

  • Yield Strength: ≥ 220 MPa

  • Elongation: ≥ 30%

  • Hardness: ≤ 30 HRC

• Temperature Range:

  • Performs well from cryogenic temperatures up to 540°C (1000°F).

• Diameter Range: 0.05 mm to 5 mm (custom sizes available).
